  • Lieutenant General Manoj Pandey is the first army officer from the corps of engineers to become the Army Chief after General Naravane’s term ends on 30th April 2022. according to officials, The Cabinet Appointments Committee, chaired by the Prime Minister, approved the proposal to designate Manoj Pandey as the next Chief of Army Staff. He has previously served as the vice chief of army staff General Officer-Commanding-in-Chief of Eastern Command and also as the Commander-in-Chief (CINCAN) of Andaman and Nicobar Command.

He married Archana Salpekar, who is a gold medallist from Government Dental College and Hospital, Nagpur on 3 May 1987.
