NEW DELHI: Virat Kohli made history by becoming the first player ever in the Indian Premier League to play 250 matches for a single team. He reached this milestone during Royal Challengers Bangalore‘s match against Delhi Capitals in Bengaluru on Sunday.
While MS Dhoni (263 matches), Rohit Sharma (256 matches), and Dinesh Karthik (254 matches) have played over 250 games in the IPL, they have represented multiple teams throughout their careers.
In 249 matches for RCB, Virat has scored 7897 runs at an average of 38.71 and a strike rate of 131.64, with eight centuries and 55 fifties.
