The break-in comes less than 48 hours after two members of Nine’s Olympics broadcast team were seriously assaulted during an attempted robbery on Monday afternoon, Paris time.
The tech workers were walking back to their accommodation on the outskirts of Paris when a group of people attempted to snatch one of their bags and attacked the pair.
French police have been cracking down on petty crime ahead of the start of the Games, amid fears a surge in thefts and other incidents during the two-week event could damage the country’s reputation.
Authorities will deploy some 45,000 police and security forces, 20,000 private security staff, and 15,000 military personnel each day to protect the Olympics, which are expected to attract millions of visitors to Paris.
