Heath Thomas Wynne, 29, was sentenced to six years in prison on Thursday after the court heard he and Jamy Ryan Addison, 33, drove to a property on Halcyon Way in Atwell at around 9am on June 14 2022.
Addison remained outside the home in a white BMW while Wynne scaled the property’s fence and entered through a side door.

The court heard a woman in her 30s was at home in her bed when she heard someone enter and thought it was her husband.
“Why are you still here? I thought you’d gone to work?” she called out, but received no reply.
The court heard the woman then saw Wynne, who was unknown to her, inside her home and she screamed and jumped on her bed to try and get away.

Wynne grabbed her and threw her to the floor and began punching her repeatedly in the face.
He also kicked her in the ribs, the court was told, and asked “where’s the money?”
When the woman told Wynne she had no money in the house, he continued to punch her until she suggested he search the house and she escaped to a neighbour and screamed for help.
