The actress shared insights into her childhood, explaining that because both her parents worked, she didn’t have the opportunity to spend much time with them.She acknowledged that it was a necessity back then. However, Shilpa emphasized that she and her husband,Raj Kundra, are different in this regard and prioritize spending time with their kids.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Shilpa revealed that she and Raj make a conscious effort to create precious moments with their children. They enjoy family vacations that provide ample quality time together. Shilpa highlighted that despite their success, both she and Raj maintain a middle-class ethos from their upbringing and are fortunate to offer the best to their children.
In her earlier interview with Siddharth Kanan, Shilpa said that she has had a long career with many lows that she used to wonder why she was never offered a film with big banners. The actress added that whatever she has achieved is by working in small films with big actors. She did small characters and no matter whether her films worked or not, all her songs were hits. According to her, she is surviving because of her songs.
Regarding her upcoming film ‘Sukhee,’ Shilpa plays the role of a discontented homemaker who takes a rebellious leap by attending her school reunion. During the trailer launch, she mentioned that Raj had read the script in her absence and encouraged her to take on the project. He convinced her, emphasizing the importance of the film’s message that there is a “Sukhee” (happiness) within everyone, regardless of gender.
‘Sukhee’ marks the directorial debut of Sonal Joshi and features Amit Sadh, Kusha Kapila, and Pavleen Gujral in significant roles. The film is scheduled for release on September 22.
