Park Eun-bin starrer ‘Castaway Diva’ has opened to a positive response from viewers. The first episode started off on a promising note and the expectations were aptly followed up by the second episode, which aired on Sunday.
On October 29, the romantic comedy experienced a significant boost in viewership and according to Nielsen Korea, the second episode garnered an average nationwide rating of 5.2 per cent.This reflected a noteworthy 2 per cent growth inratings from its premiere episode.
Park Eun-bin had recently opened up about selecting the role of Seo Mok-ha in ‘Castaway Diva’ and told Harper’s Bazaar, “I had a lot of time to reflect on my inner side after enduring it alone while filming ‘Extraordinary Attorney Woo’. It was actually a lonely time. Along the way, I saw this script, and it seemed like Mok-ha would be able to handle the difficult aspects of ‘human’ Park Eun-bin quite well. I received many good offers, but at that time, I wanted to get Mok-ha’s strength.”
‘Strong Girl Namsoon’, which is airing in the same time slot, concluded the first half of its season with a strong performance, maintaining an impressive average nationwide rating of 8.5 per cent. While KBS 2TV’s ‘Live Your Own Life’ continued to dominate the Sunday ratings, achieving the highest viewership ratings, with its latest episode reaching an average nationwide rating of 15.4 per cent.
