First, we need to know what is ‘Hindu’ or ‘Hinduism’?
So, according to Wikipedia, “Hinduism is Indian religion and dharma, or way of life”.

According to my, “Hinduism is a mixture of many religions, culture and traditions, and beliefs, that people of India believe in it with their heart and souls”.
Supremacy Of Hindus In Recent Years Due To-
- Their massive population is growing day by day.
- Rise of Hindu nationalists.
- Spreading of Rastriya Swayamsevak Sangh in the whole country.
- Our ruling party, BJP sometimes prioritizes the Hindu religion.
To answer the question, No I don’t think so Hindus have been duped in the name of secularism and it cannot be a threat to anyone because of their faiths, these are the following-

- Hinduism is the world’s oldest religion and they themselves believe in “Sanatana Dharma”, which means “Eternal duty of God” by all the human beings on the Earth.
- Hinduism teaching is based on ‘Vedas and Upanishads’ that are the oldest Hindu scriptures that give knowledge about each person’s purpose of existence.
- There are also 4 Purushartha’s that all Hindus believe-
- Dharma – it is most important Purushartha; it talks about moral values and the purpose of every human being in this life.
- Aartha – it means wealth and prosperity; it talks about the activities that give us resources that should be necessary to every human being.
- Kama- it incorporates desire, passion, and pleasure. It talks about the enjoyment of life but with no violation of the ‘Dharma’ and ‘Artha’ and it never is any hindrance in ‘Moksha’.
- Moksha – It signifies liberation and ecstasy. It talks about self-realization. After surpassing the three Purusharthas, it becomes the final truth of humans.
- Hindus also believe in “Karma” and reincarnations that signify actions of humans which can be good, bad and affect the next life and it can continue to many lives.
- Hindus also practiced “Ahimsa” which means not harming or killing any living beings but protecting them.
And to answer the next question, Indian secularism never means the compromise of any religion to its minorities, it always says “Equal rights to all”.
Though our Indian Secularism is believed in helping minorities’ religion and it is called pseudo-secularism. State also favored them in the matters of-
- By giving them the special rights to personal laws.
- Religion-based reservations
But at the same time, there is no constitutional discrimination, all are equal under the law.

It is a different concept from the west secularism but in a diverse country like INDIA, we need the odds to give every religion their basic right.
