A police complaint has been filed against a family of eight who left a restaurant in the UK without paying their bill, amounting to 329 pounds, approximately Rs 34,000. The shocking incident came to light after the newly opened restaurant, Bella Ciao Swansea, shared a still from the CCTV footage showing the family on its official Facebook page. In the still, a couple with their six kids can be seen sitting at a table. Sharing the picture, the restaurant, in a detailed note, said, “Thank you to everyone who has shared this post, messaged us with information, and even visited us for a meal.”
After the restaurant team failed to contact the family, they decided to file a police complaint. The restaurant said, “We had no way of contacting you as the number you used to make the reservation was fake! So, we had no choice but to report it to the police.” It continued, “The police are aware of who they are. We just hope they are finally caught and do not do this to any more businesses. To the family who left the restaurant this evening without paying their £ 329 bill, shame on you!”

Sharing details about the whole incident, the restaurant, in the note, said that after the family enjoyed the meal, the woman tried to pay with a card. However, the “card declined twice”. After this, the woman told the staff that her son would wait at the restaurant, “while she went out to get her ‘other card'”. But when she didn’t return, her son received a call and after answering it, ran away saying, “he has to go”. The note stated, “The lady tried to pay with a savings account card which got declined twice, she then said her son would wait inside while she went out to get her “other card” of course she did not return and then the son receives a phone call and says he has to go and does a runner.” Check out the still here:
