After Bhediya, Varun Dhawan is raring to go, he is currently working on the Indian chapter of global spy series, Citadel. However, before that comes out, the actor has Nitesh Tiwari’s Bawaal, which will be his second direct to digital release after Coolie No.1. The teaser and the trailer of Bawaal has sparked many conversations amongst netizens, with glimpses of apparent gas chambers and The Holocaust being part of the film.
Talking about the film at a press conference in Dubai recently, Varun mentioned that the film is about the truth and it is all about what you want from life and your insecurities. He also added that he has never been as sure about a film as he was about Bawaal, which co-stars Janhvi Kapoor.
The actor also mentioned that working with Nitesh (Tiwari) Sir has always been on his bucket list, and the actor would always request the filmmaker to make a movie with him, and finally after 7-8 months, he had a script and they ended up working together.
Varun also revealed that he always wanted to be an actor, which he manifested from an early age. However, he was sceptical of telling his father David Dhawan, and finally came clean to his family after he bagged Student Of The Year.
