In an old episode of “Koffee with Karan” Season 8, Karan Johar welcomed Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn. The trio, who have collaborated on numerous films, discussed their past feud. Karan Johar and Ajay Devgn had a public spat a few years ago, which they confirmed during the show. Ajay brought it up during the rapid-fire round, and Karan shared that Kajol had advised him against scheduling film releases on the same day as Ajay’s.

When Karan asked Ajay about his ‘sworn enemy’ in the film industry, Ajay laughed and said, “Once upon a time, it was you.” Karan was taken aback by the revelation but explained how Ajay had graciously moved on from their disagreement. He recalled that despite being close to Kajol, he and Ajay had stopped speaking during that period.
Karan said, “It was a misunderstanding or misconception, and Kajol and I weren’t talking. I’m sure Ajay had his own struggles given our close friendship, but he was very gracious. When I saw him in the studio, I asked to meet, and he agreed immediately.”

Karan also recounted their reunion, where Ajay suggested they not dwell on the past, emphasizing the importance of unity in the industry. “It took just a moment for us to get back to normal,” Karan said.
Ajay added, “Life is too short. Whether someone is wrong or right doesn’t matter. Just move on.”

They both expressed gratitude to each other and agreed not to revisit the issue. Karan humorously shared Kajol’s reaction, saying, “Kajol called me and said, ‘You are never going to release a film on the same day as my husband.’ I promised her, ‘Never again.’”
