Sonam Bajwa, known for her captivating performances in Punjabi films, has a large fan base. While her fans eagerly await her Bollywood debut, she recently explained why she hasn’t made the leap yet.
In an interview with IndiaToday.in, Sonam stated, “I am waiting for a good script. See, some films I said no to and then, of late, I have heard from people that many don’t know I live in Mumbai. So they think that since I don’t stay here, I don’t want to work in Hindi films. Having said that, if there is a good script offered to me, I would love to do Hindi films.”
Like many others, Sonam also dreams to be part of Bollywood. Earlier, she made a cameo appearance in the 2019 film ‘Bala,’ which hinted at her potential and left audiences wanting more. Despite this, she has not pursued major roles in Bollywood at this time.
She also shed light on her interest in working for South films, “In fact, I would love to work in South films as well. I had worked there years ago and then I came to Punjab and started working there and got very busy. But now I feel that the more languages I work in, the better it is for me. I just want to do good work and whenever it’s meant to be, I would do Hindi films.”
“I would like to work with Ammy in Hindi film as well,” she added.
Sonam is currently busy promoting her upcoming film, ‘Kudi Haryane Val Di.’ Co-starring Ammy Virk, the film is scheduled for release on June 14.
