The Jalebi actress challenged the societal pressure placed on women regarding marriage, noting that men don’t face the same scrutiny. She attributed this to the biological clock and, despite acknowledging the stress involved, recommended that women consider egg freezing as an option given its availability.
Rhea Chakraborty revealed that many of her female friends married or had children in their 40s, while others did so in their 20s and 30s. Reflecting on both experiences, she noted that those who married later seemed to be thriving.
Chakraborty shared that, according to her personal assessment, marrying in her 40s seems preferable. At 32, she feels she’s not ready yet, as she’s focused on her professional goals. She also expressed her reluctance to involve legal matters in personal decisions like choosing a partner.
The actress concluded by emphasizing that she handles legal matters like passport applications but not personal choices like marriage. She believes that thriving in one’s life doesn’t necessarily require a partner or the role of a wife to feel fulfilled.
