Earlier, Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt had also praised the film, along with director Hansal Mehta. Varun praised the movie and he wrote, “JUST LOVED LAAPATAA LADIES @raodyness.” He further commended the cast of the film, saying, “So well performed by each and every cast member loved everything about it @aafilms.official.”
Meanwhile, Mehta said, “Saw the very big hearted and moving ‘Laapataa Ladies’. Sometimes all that is needed is simplicity and clarity. This film is that. I went in expecting more and finished with more than it apparently delivers.”
‘Lapataa Ladies’ revolves around two brides who get lost in the same train. The film is about their mistaken identities but subtly aims at bringing about a message about how women sometimes lose their ownselves and identity once they get married. The film offers a strong message with a lot of heartwarming moments.
