After receiving the award, the actress, who looked visibly emotional, said, “I have been in the industry for 38 years. I have worked with some wonderful directors. For me it was like a family. And I got the right opportunity at the right time.”

The actress even addressed the audience in Konkani and spoke about IFFI.
She said, “IFFI is not only about Indian films but also international films and it is a great creative platform. There was a time when we came for holidays to Goa, but today it is for IFFI which is now an emotion and celebrating films.”
