Exactly six months after the tragic demise of Lisa Marie Presley, the Los Angeles county coroner has revealed the cause of death. The 54-year-old singer and Elvis Presley’s daughter died from complications that arose from a bowel obstruction, reported TMZ.
The complete report has not yet been made public. Lisa MariePresley was complaining of feverishness, nausea and had been vomiting for months before her demise. These stomach issues eventually led to her death on January 12 of this year. She was also on weight loss medication and had undergone plastic surgery for alleged weight issues.
According to the news portal, the autopsy revealed that the obstruction in her bowels was caused by ‘adhesions’ that she developed after a weight loss surgery that was performed many years ago. As a result of this, she had been suffering from severe stomach pain for many months, but did not seek medical attention. The report revealed that she had “severe metabolic acidosis” that is caused by buildup of acids in the body because of kidney complications or disease.
Lisa Marie Presley had led a tumultuous life and even after her death, her mother Priscilla and her daughter, Riley Keough had been quibbling over her father’s estate that she had left behind.
