Rohit’s character in Koi… Mil Gaya has remained one of the most popular and loved characters among fans. Hrithik made the audience believe in his character’s childlike traits. And one of them was Rohit’s distorted voice, which has now become iconic.
During the interview, Hrithik told Film Companion that his voice modulation for Rohit actually came from a cry. “When I was crying as Rohit, There was a certain (makes crying sound) voice that came out and that became..A bit of that became Rohit’s normal voice. So it came from a cry, and I kind off like took it from there and then tried and rehearsed talking with that same. The vocal cords go lower because Its actually a cry. He talks like that, but it does not sound like a cry anymore when you do it,” he said.
Rakesh Roshan had recently said he hopes the re-release of Koi… Mil Gaya takes the audiences on a nostalgic trip. He also said it is surreal that his film continues to be loved after two decades. The film also featured Preity Zinta, Rekha, Prem Chopra and Johnny Lever in pivotal roles.
The success of Koi… Mil Gaya spawned a superhero franchise, beginning with Krrish, which was released in 2006, followed by Krrish 3 in 2013. Recently, Rakesh Roshan confirmed that Krrish 4 is going to be a big film in the franchise and they will probably go on the floor after a year.
