Taking to his social media handle the actor unveiled the teaser of the Anil Sharma directorial that will take the audiences back in time to 1971, during the Partition. The short clip features Sunny getting ready for action with leading lady Ameesha Patel giving us a voice-over.

The film will revolve around Tara Singh, a Sikh truck driver from Amritsar, who falls in love with Sakina, a Muslim girl hailing from a political family in Lahore, Pakistan. The film also stars Utkarsh Sharma in a leading role.
Interestingly, the film is not backing down from a box office showdown with Ranbir Kapoor‘s ‘Animal‘. The teaser clip confirms that the film will stick to its August 11 release and clash with the Ranbir-led action drama that also stars his brother Bobby Deol in a lead role. ‘Animal’ is helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and also stars Anil Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna.
Besides this, Alia Bhatt‘s Hollywood debut film ‘Heart of Stone‘ will also be releasing on the same day. Helmed by Tom Harper, the film is intended to be the first instalment in a series akin to Tom Cruise’s ‘Mission Impossible’. It will stream exclusively on an OTT platform.
