Anil Kapoor, who is gearing up to make his debut as the host with the reality show ‘Bigg Boss OTT’, recently shared his opinions on the skyrocketing expenses and enormous star salaries in the Hindi film industry. Anil discussed the factors he takes into account while negotiating the compensation scale for his projects.
During an interview with India Today, Anil Kapoor highlighted the discussions over wage scales and expressed his opinions. He said, “I think we should be realistic. It’s very necessary now. I think the reason I have had such a long career is because I have always been very realistic about it.” He further said, “To be honest, most of the time, I always step into their (the producers’) shoes (while quoting fees). Of course, I don’t want people to also take me for granted. I should get what I deserve. But yes, I have survived so long because I understand these things, and have always been conscious about it.”
With ‘Bigg Boss OTT 3’, Anil is hosting his first reality show on a streaming platform. Before him, Salman Khan and Karan Johar hosted ‘Bigg Boss OTT 1’ and ‘Bigg Boss OTT 2’, respectively. The six people who are most likely to compete in the next reality show are Chandrika Dixit, Nikhil Mehta, Shehzada Dhami, Harshad Chopda, and Cheshta Bhagat. After competing in ‘Bigg Boss OTT 2’, Elvish Yadav won and received a ₹25 lakh cash prize. On June 21, Bigg Boss OTT Season 3’s premiere episode will stream on JioCinema at 9 PM.
