The series Khakee: The Bihar Chapter boasts a strong ensemble of characters, each with their own unique story and motivations. At the heart of the narrative is IPS officer Amit Lodha, played by Karan Tacker. A young and idealistic officer, Amit is determined to bring about social change and eradicate corruption from the system. However, he quickly realizes that this is easier said than done, especially in the state of Bihar, where crime and politics are deeply intertwined.

Amit’s character is based on the real-life IPS officer Amit Lodha, who penned the book ‘Bihar Diaries – The true story of how Bihar’s most dangerous criminal was caught’. Karan Tacker does an excellent job of portraying the character’s complexity, showcasing his struggles to navigate the murky waters of the political system while remaining true to his ideals.
Opposite Amit Lodha is Chandan Mahto, played by Avinash Tiwary. Chandan’s character is based on the real-life criminal Vikas Dubey, who gained notoriety in 2020 for his involvement in a high-profile encounter with the police. Chandan’s journey from an unassuming truck driver to a dreaded gangster is the stuff of legends, and Avinash Tiwary does an excellent job of portraying the character’s transformation.
Chandan’s rise to power is fueled by his thirst for money and influence, as well as his growing love for violence. Despite his numerous misdeeds, Chandan is portrayed as a complex character, one who is not entirely evil but is simply a product of his circumstances.

Abhyuday Singh, played by Ravi Kishan, is another character worth noting. Abhyuday is a local goon who takes Chandan under his wing and grooms him to become a part of his gang. Abhyuday is a cunning and manipulative character, who has no qualms about using violence to achieve his goals. His relationship with Chandan is complex, with the latter both fearing and admiring him.
Jatin Sarna’s character, Chawanprash Sahu, is another interesting addition to the series. Chawanprash is a fellow inmate in the Nawada prison, where Chandan is incarcerated. Chawanprash becomes Chandan’s closest confidante and offers him much-needed emotional support during his darkest days. Aishwarya Sushmita’s Meeta Devi is also worth noting. Meeta is Chawanprash’s wife and a strong-willed woman who offers Chandan much-needed emotional support.
Overall, Khakee: The Bihar Chapter boasts a strong ensemble of characters, each with their own unique motivations and struggles. The series does an excellent job of showcasing their complexities, making them more than just one-dimensional characters.
