An implementation of the farmer’s law passed by the parliament in the month of September has led to agitation regarding their demand of abolishing laws in order to market their own agricultural products to the customers at a reasonable price. Most of the agitating farmers are from Punjab and Haryana have faced an unpleasant incident that the new farm laws will eliminate the safety of MSP. The farmers believe that the laws will open agricultural sales and marketing outside the notified Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) mandis, farmers will remove the barriers to inter-state trade and provide a framework for agricultural produce.
The first initiative of the farmer’s protest in Delhi was taken by Gurnam Singh Chaduni who was leading the protesters from Haryana. In the year 2019, he contested the Assembly elections from Ladwa constituency in the Kurushetra district by only 1307 votes.

But, along with this law implemented, it is clear that the government has taken very systematic steps to take care of the farmer’s financial as well as standard of living by the maximization of the profits. A few years back, there had been a widespread agitation of the farmers over the issue of the implementation of the Indian Farmer’s Law. As a reason, the farmers have set up a full combat farmer’s team in Delhi. Their demand is to remove the laws which will restrict the sale of their crops. The farmer union will also settle for a legal assurance that the MSP (Minimum Support Prize) system will continue ideally through an amendment. MSP or Minimum Support Prize is the minimum price paid by the government as soon as the procurement of any crops from the farmers. It is announced by the state-run Commission for Agricultural Costs and Prices ( CACP) for more than 22 commodities on an annual basis after calculating the cost of cultivation. These laws aided various farmers by providing them with facilities as well as enrich their financial stability. This law tried to address the issues of the farmers who earlier complained that they were not allowed to sell the products of their choice so that they could get maximum benefits.
