India is a very open and modern country, though we are traditional and stick to our own roots we surely are ready for this thing, it shouldn’t be seen as a curse, because along with other developments and advancements we surely have will have our youngsters say Yes for live-in. India has the largest youth population in the world, this is a secret to our economic growth when we accept this we should also train ourselves to accept the perks of side effects that come with it.
But even, though I would not mind when somebody else does this, it will take some time to accept this within the close family. I think this is the mindset of the Middle-class Indians.

The rich have always been living their life the way they wanted, nobody questions them, because it is accepted in their society of elites. Regular people and commoners find it hard to digest these things because of our values but we shouldn’t be hypocrites, many couples do live like their already married( especially in metro cities).
Like inter-caste marriages live-in also will enjoy the same status, accepted by a few and not by a few, we are evolving like any other country and this cannot be seen as a western influence, this is just a part of changing lives which can’t be stopped.
I have had a few friends who were live-in, marriages happen then we are happy but when they part their ways we are sad, but these things are ought to happen. This is not evil, as far as there are humans (men and women) in this world we will have to accept such new things coming up. I know it’s hard.

Many celebrities live-in we don’t mind but when it happens in a middle-class household it is different. I live in India and many of my friends and relatives wouldn’t watch this movie named Oh Kadal Kanmani (Tamil movie) with their teen kids because it is about live-in relationships. This is also going to be remade in Hindi, let’s see how this movie is perceived.
As a progressive person, I don’t comment on anybody’s lifestyle and choices, we don’t know what somebody else is going through and why they chose to live how they want.
