Even after having the exhaustive legal remedies provided in the Constitution of India and the International human rights law and more than 193 countries have ratified it, it is a major drawback for the international community that we have been worthless in ensuring the peoples’ basic human rights. Geopoliticshas been so important for the nations that they even get themselves dividedinto camps. The international community’s focus should be to fully exploit the UN’s capacity in providing the necessities to the citizens. I don’t see any reason as the nations are not following international law and I am sad to say that international organizations have miserably failed to protect peoples’ rights. Even after having devotedourselves as a developed and powerful nation, we have failed miserably and I think we need to change the definition of developed nations. The flag bearers of human rights are nowhere to be seen.
