Speaking to DNA, Vivek said that he doesn’t get bothered by trolls who dig out his old tweets and accuse him of being a hypocrite.
He wants to send them a packet of chocolates and thank them since it assures him that he is changing.
“When you meet me for Delhi Files in 2024 or 2025, if I am still saying the same things, then shame on me. I cannot live a life where I am not changing every day. Every day is a new day with changed things. I don’t want to live a static life,” he said.
The filmmaker then mentioned that his approach to cinema has also changed a lot with experience and age. He said that this is the first time that he has travelled across India and saw the country as a filmmaker. He realised that there are so many stories that nobody has ever told and he feels that it is the biggest crime filmmakers have committed in the country.
He then went on to say that Karan Johar and Shah Rukh Khan’s cinema has damaged the cultural fabric of India in a very disastrous way. He feels that it was important to tell real and honest stories, which according to him have stopped after Amitabh Bachchan’s Shehanshah.
