While the title of Gangster was suggestive of a cops and thugs kind of film, but this movie was actually a love triangle story, told masterfully by Anurag Basu. The story was written by Mahesh Bhatt. Kangana’s character had to make a choice between a gangster Shiney and her lover Emraan, a singer.
Emraan says Gangster remains a “special film” for him and he never realised that the “impact it would create would be so big.” For Emraan, this was his third collaboration with the acclaimed director and of course his connection with Mahesh Bhatt is well known.
